I’ve been studying Buddhism for four or five years now, and I still consider myself pretty much a beginner. However, one of the things that has really helped me focus and organize my studies is the series of online courses about Buddhism offered via Sravasti Abbey. The Abbey is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Eastern Washington state. The courses they offer are called the SAFE courses for short, with “SAFE” standing for “Sravasti Abbey Friends Education.” I’ve taken four of them; I believe there are six (or will be soon).
If you’d like to get a taste of what topics the first two courses cover, I’ve created little mini-sites in which to post my notes from each. If your interest is piqued, I’d strongly recommend checking out the courses for yourself!
